As a professional distributor of nail products, it is our responsibility to provide our clients with all the information that can enhance their experience with our products, as well as to guide your attention to things that you should not be doing.

If you have ever decanted a product from its original packaging into a new container or decided to "top up" a new product with remains of the old products, here is why you should not do so:

1 SDS for Product Containers

Yes, really, just like the gel itself, your packaging has also undergone a series of tests and has an 'SDS'. The document covers areas such as hydrolytic resistance, the type of glass/plastic, and residual stress. All of these ensure that the packaging is of high quality and does not interfere with the chemicals inside the container, and vice versa, while you are using it.

2 Contamination

During decanting, there's a risk of introducing contaminants into the gel, such as dust, lint, or even bacteria from unclean surfaces or tools. Contaminated gel may not cure properly or could cause adverse reactions on the nails.

3 Curing Issues

The gel is filled into its containers using high-pressure equipment, meaning it has little to no exposure to the surrounding environment during this production stage. By decanting older products into a new bottle, you could accidentally "ruin" the new bottle by introducing light and air to the product during the decanting stage, causing thickening and premature polymerisation of the product.
