Let's Talk About Safe Bits and Bit Shapes

It's a common misconception among nail technicians that the safer a nail bit looks, particularly those with less sharp heads, the better it is. You might think a bulkier bit with a blunt head is super safe, right? Well, not exactly.

In reality, e-file bits with a square nose and bulky shape for product removal can be quite tricky, especially for beginners. To use these shapes safely, you'd typically need to switch between at least 2 or 3 different e-file bits during removal to prevent overfilling in certain areas. Instead, we recommend to stay on the side of caution and choose a more elongated shape that offers better visibility and doesn't have those blunt ridges and sides.

For product removal we recommend the diameter of your Carbide drill bit to be between 5 mm and 6 mm to ensure full control over the lateral sides of the nail while you are removing product bulk.
